MESSAGE FROM THE CO-REPRESENTATIVES
Together, Shaping the Future of Healthy Longevity
As we enter an era of unprecedented longevity, healthcare is reaching a critical turning point.
For generations, medicine has focused primarily on diagnosing and treating disease and restoring health. The challenge ahead goes further: not only to treat illness after it occurs, but to preserve health, optimize well-being, and enable people to remain active, engaged, and fulfilled throughout longer lives.
Achieving this vision requires more than medicine alone. It requires us to connect science, medicine, wellness, technology, industry, policy, and society across disciplines, sectors, and borders.
The International Society for Longevity Medicine and Wellness was established as a new academic and interdisciplinary platform to advance this transformation.
As one of the world’s leading longevity societies, Japan brings together extensive expertise in medicine and prevention with distinctive strengths in nutrition, physical activity, living environments, community-based care, and cultural approaches to health and well-being. Our aim is to evaluate these strengths scientifically, integrate them with global knowledge and innovation, and share a new model of healthy longevity with the world.
Our goal is not simply to extend lifespan, but to extend healthspan — enabling people to live longer and live better.
We invite colleagues and partners across disciplines, industries, generations, and borders to join us in shaping the future of healthy longevity.
From Japan to the World.
Live Longer. Live Better.
